Like many others we are working to combat the huge the impact we have on the environment and are joining the global movement towards a cleaner and greener future.

In 2023, FSL Foods became 'Carbon Conscious Certified' through EKOS. Having completed a full carbon footprint measurement, we now have an established Carbon Reduction Plan in place, helping us with strategic decision making for the future and allowing us to offset our carbon emissions. We are excited to be on this journey and would love to take you along with us.

Soft plastic recycling is also close to our hearts. While our product must be packed in plastic to meet New Zealand food safety requirements we work closely with the New Zealand packaging council to maintain current with any new packaging technologies and soft plastics recycling scheme to help educate our consumers on the best ways to recycle our products. 

In September 2023, we became a proud sponsor of Sustainable Coastlines,  a New Zealand charity that exists to bring people together to reduce plastic pollution and other litter to protect the moana we all love. Their goal is to see 60% less litter on the coastlines of Aotearoa by 2030.

They intend to achieve it through empowering communities to take action for their local beach through coastal clean-up events, educational programmes, public awareness campaigns, and litter data collection. Sustainable Coastlines makes this litter data available for anyone to use, and works with businesses, councils, and government to inspire change in behaviour, policy, and practices.
