FSL Foods Marketing Manager, Sarah Foote says “the move to 1.8kg bulk bags was a natural progression for market and the shopper. Following COVID-19 lockdowns we have continued to see consumers purchasing more but less often and looking for affordable options due to increased price sensitivity”.
Being an agile consumer driven business FSL Foods were able to quickly bring to the market this bulk offering to the frozen fruit category. They began with a trial into seven key Pak’n Save stores in the North Island. The sales in these stores showed that the demand for the 1.8kg bulk frozen berry offering was there, and that this product would prove to be a favourite among consumers.
