Soft Plastics Recycling Scheme

FSL Foods are a proud sponsor of the Love NZ Soft Plastic Recycling Programme that is informing New Zealanders about how to keep plastic bags and packaging out of landfill.

Due to food safety standards we must continue to package our frozen produce into Low-density polyethylene (LDPE) which can be recycled through the scheme.

Sustainable Coastlines

FSL Foods proudly sponsor Sustainable Coastlines, a New Zealand charity that exists to bring people together to reduce plastic pollution and other litter to protect the moana we all love. Their goal is to see 60% less litter on the coastlines of Aotearoa by 2030.

They intend to achieve it through empowering communities to take action for their local beach through coastal clean-up events, educational programmes, public awareness campaigns, and litter data collection.

Bees Up Top

FSL Foods adopted a beehive, located at Bethell's Beach Bee Sanctuary. Bees Up Top rescues bees from walls and trees of peoples houses before the exterminator is called in and safely rehomes them. Bees Up Top aims to increase NZ’s healthy bee population by supplying healthy, happy hives to urban areas and to educate future generations on the importance of bees and putting hives into schools for free.
